Children’s Nutrition Leaflet

Student Project

The object of this project was to create an informational leaflet on a topic of our choosing, I focused on a topic close to my heart: children's nutrition. The primary goal of this project was to equip parents and caretakers with the knowledge to make healthier dietary choices for their children in order to foster healthy growth and development. Approachability was a primary consideration when designing this leaflet. I aimed to blend aesthetic appeal with educational value to create a resource that is both engaging and informative for viewers.

Visual Language

The concept driving the entire project is ‘the building blocks of good nutrition’. The food-shaped blocks, meant to invoke children’s wooden toy blocks, communicate the importance of good nutrition in a playful and relatable manner. The use of the ‘Indivisible’ typeface, characterized by its simple and blocky appearance, complements the theme. I went with a palette that’s soft and pastel, with the dominant colour of purple which contracts nicely against the oranges and greens of the depicted food.
